WHERE'S THE RENT!
Well, summer is finally here....err, I know it is bucketing down and only 15 degrees outside, but I am assured it really is summer!
You may ask, it doesn't seem like summer, but there is guaranteed to be one reason why I can tell its summer for some of you and that is because your tenant has not paid this month’s rent and gone on holiday with the money instead!
It's a very common problem and we get a huge number of calls around this time every year from landlords saying the tenant can't be contacted and they haven't paid the rent.
Of course, the tenants turn up eventually (probably with a sun tan) and tell you Aunty Mable was sick, so they had to go and see her.
We've heard all the excuses and cannot understand why as soon as the tenant stops paying the landlord, the landlord doesn't know what to do next.
