Where's My Flying Car!

Growing up in the 60's we all heard we would be flying around in cars like the Jetsons by the year 2000! I'm still waiting...I want my flying car!
Perhaps that is why our infrastructure hasn't kept up with the growth in car traffic; everyone my age was just delaying action until we all would be flying around and we wouldn't need roads anymore.
While I wait for my flying car, I hear we will be in some type of autonomous, self driving car within 5 years. I for one am looking forward to getting dropped off at concerts and sporting events and not having to look for a parking space at the stadium. Or having a couple of bourbons on a night out on the town and not waiting for a taxi or Uber to take me home.
Holding us back are insurance companies, government and some infrastructure concerns and perhaps human nature's resistant to change.
I can also imagine the days when you have large RV's that will drive all day and night and only stop when you want to go sightseeing or diner. The ultimate "Land Cruiser"!
One can only dream for now.
