What happened to the Focus..?

It's astonishing how many companies today think AI is going to fix all their sales issues.

They want to jump into AI-driven Account-Based Marketing (ABM) but can't even articulate a Compelling Value Proposition. ABM is all about treating individual accounts as unique markets, yet they fumble at the basics.

They want to implement AI analytics tools like Gong but lack a proper discovery process to even know what to look for.

They’re buying AI-powered Interactive Pipeline Management, yet their reps don’t have an established sales process, making data-driven insights useless.

They want to automate their outreach with AI, even though their emails are ineffective when sent manually. Automating rubbish just gets you more rubbish, faster.

Don't fall into the AI trap. Technology is an amplifier, not a crutch.

Clarity is everything.

The companies that truly win are the ones that nail this fundamental first. Let's master the basics, then let AI take you to the next level.

In a way I agree with your comments that some companies believe AI will automatically save all the problems. AI can help companies to streamline their way of working, saving time, eliminating some biases, and rely on automating repetitive tasks, etc. There are also some traps which need to be considered - like e.g. implementation (which can be big and costly), what happens to the staff and last but not least.. what happens to human interaction, emotions and creativity? Etc. etc. etc I believe that AI can support the business in many areas (invoicing, billing, regular updates [what's new, trending etc]) but it won't and shouldn't replace human interaction. My way of working with people is still 3 fold: Where is my client at the moment? Where does my client want to be? How can my client and I achieve a solution to benefit their way of working to aim for their goals? Might it be with upgrades, new IT or AI...
