"Where's Daddy? In his office I think."
Happy faces. In case that wasn't clear.

"Where's Daddy? In his office I think."

Don't worry, I'll come back to the picture.

Firstly, I noticed a bad habit creeping back in this week. Working at the weekend. Because I'm enjoying it so much, it doesn't seem like work. It's just things that I really want to do and make progress on. I remember it vividly from when I was starting to grow Molzi and I was adamant that this time around it wouldn't happen again.

When I heard one of the kids say "where's Daddy?" on Saturday, I realised that I'd heard that question many times over the past few days. As well as the assumption from Steph that I'd be in my office.

It was a good reminder to reset the boundaries from the start. There is always things you can be doing for your business, but I remember when I was in 'peak Molzi' it wasn't sustainable so I stopped doing the things I was doing at the weekend. And it had absolutely zero impact on the business.

My latest blog (here) talks about the negative impact of taking on too many tasks rather than really focussing on the ones that move the needle. And I just need to be wary of that very advice as I start to grow FounderON , Kitchimo and The Ten Club .

It's hard though because I am absolutely loving FounderON at the moment. It started just as me writing a few blogs, enjoying the feedback and without any real plan for how or if it would ever be a real business. But now it's all starting to fall into place and the buzz of entrepreneurialism is in full swing.

I've had a lot of calls with founders at various stages of their journey over the last 6 months. I've noticed that there is a core of advice that I've been giving that translates across most businesses, stages and sectors. At the same time there are many other requests from founders for advice that I just don't have time to give, or the costs are prohibitive. So, I'm going to try and get the main bulk of advice into an online format where it can be available for any current or future founders, no matter what their budget. The plan is to launch in January and I would love to hear from anyone in the meantime that would be willing to be a BETA tester for the courses. Ideally a handful of people that are considering starting out on their business journey, and a handful that have recently started.

The reason January is bold and italic is to hold me accountable to make sure it is ready in January. January, January, January.

This week we also had the launch of The Ten Club and the response has been amazing. It's a long time since I've done back to back video calls, but such has been the level of applications that it's happening again. But, if the opportunity sounds interesting to you, but you just don't feel quite ready yet, or haven't refined your business idea, then fear not. Our goal is to support 10 excellent new founders to create 10 world-beating new agencies over the next 24 months. Me and Ethan want to be operationally involved in each start up, to make sure it gets quick traction and early growth. But we don't have the capacity to do all 10 straight away and do a good job. So if you're not quite ready yet then just keep thinking, keep dreaming and let us know when you're ready.

Now, that picture.

We visited a property this week for Cassidilly. There are two clues in the photograph.

  1. You may be able to tell from our facial reaction (despite subtleties) whether our offer was accepted.
  2. You may be able to tell from the colours of the airline where the property is.

Lots more to come in the next few weeks on that!
