It was supposed to "Revolutionize" everything, convincing intelligence, but it's only the appearance of intelligence. ChatGPT has no actual idea of the real world, what it's saying and doing.

Bertrand Russell wrote that mathematics could be contrived and used to create artificial systems of rules and procedures. Creating something purely syntactical, manipulating symbols and formal rules to create its own impressions and sequences, giving the appearance of true laws. Emmanuel Kant said humans routinely confuse their subjectivity with objective truths and rational laws, creating irrational exuberance and behaviour. In other words, these artificial constructs of reality are bullshit!

Creating a world of fools and fantasies and snake oil salesmen, i.e., OpenAI, Sam Altman and his slick pursuit of AGI. Attracting the most willfully ignorant herd.

ChatGPT/LLMs/GenAI...the usual suspects, have received more press and more investment dollars than anything else in history. However, after all the hundreds of billions invested, ChatGPT was supposed to take over the web search space from Google, but Google still reigns supreme. Gemini (so to ChatGPT) is a glorified search engine, so it was a natural progression for Google. Gemini is a summarization tool. After billions upon billions... at the end of the day, LLMs are summarization tools, nothing for serious work people to work with.

All we've heard from Altman and OpenAIChat in the last two years have been bogus claims about "we are close to AGI," but they keep kicking the ball down the road, refusing to stop and get a game and prove themselves. Instead, all we continue to get are infinite LLM hallucinations.
