Where you work, impacts how you work

At some point in our working lives, we've suffered ill-designed workplaces. We've shivered in that freezing office, where the air conditioner is turned ridiculously low. We’ve endured the noisy workplace, where you can concentrate only after everyone’s left for the day. And then there are the cubicle farms, where employees are packed like sardines.

Having worked out of many different offices and co-working spaces, I feel blessed that I now work out of my home office, where everything is exactly as I want it to be. What I value most about my workplace are the windows. Natural light streams through them all day. And often, there’s the gentle sea breeze that wafts in too. It took a little thought and planning to set up my workspace, but the effort was worth it.

What do you love about your physical workplace? And what is it that you would like to change about it?

We can all make small changes to our workspace for a better working experience. To find out how you can improve your workspace, check out this interactive mini-guide, which I put together in Articulate Storyline, as part of my e-learning portfolio.

Went through your portfolio. Loved how you have interactively explained the importance of a good workplace design. It was delightful. :-)

That's true.

I completely agree! Yet, in India, we spend so little time thinking about the design of workspaces barring a few MNCs. It's considered a luxury to even broach this topic!
