Where You Are vs. Where You Wanted To Be

Where You Are vs. Where You Wanted To Be

Halloween is around the corner. We're (unbelievably - at least for me) closing in on year-end. And I have a question...

Where are you when it comes to your goals?

Perhaps this year hasn't been as good as expected or has been a mixed-bag kind of year. Maybe you're perfectly on-track or ahead of where you thought you'd be.

Or you might have taken advantage of some exciting opportunities you couldn't imagine at the beginning of this year.

Regardless of which camp you’re in, it's time to reflect.

Finish the year strong by asking yourself the following questions:

  • Where did you want to be at this point?
  • Where are you, actually (and why the gap)?
  • What have you learned from your experiences to date?
  • What can you realistically achieve by the end of this year?
  • What could you do NOW to move yourself forward?

You don’t need to take a huge leap forward immediately. Identify just one small next step and commit to doing it within the next 48 hours.

And then (of course) do it!

If you can't find the time to take action now, listen up.

I'm known for my blunt honesty so hear goes...

Something is holding you back, and it's NOT time. Especially if you're in the camp of not being where you wanted.

What does that mean?

Either you have fears, doubts and worries to tackle OR you're stubbornly holding onto a vision you're refusing to live.

A vision you might not even want. Or one that you DO want but don't trust yourself to achieve.

It's time to get honest about it.

Because you're unwittingly creating (lots of) added stress by holding onto a vision that doesn't fit the life you're currently living.

Either let go of the vision (and create a new one you're willing to live out) or face whatever is holding you back so you can start living the vision you have.

Your choice.
