Sr. Category Sourcing Manager, Control Systems and Instrumentation

My client, a leading, global industrial manufacturing company in NE Tennessee is seeking a Sr. Category Sourcing Manager to manage a $100M global spend of Control Systems and Instrumentation

Sr. Category Sourcing Manager, Control Systems and Instrumentation. Reporting to a Strategic Sourcing Lead, this position will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives for the Control Systems and Instrumentation categories. This position will focus on strategic sourcing of Analyzers, DCS, Instrumentation/Controls, PLCs, Relief Devices.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement and manage strategic sourcing for the assigned category
• Lead negotiations, supplier selection and contracts
• Manage procurement initiatives and align with stakeholders and partners. Lead cross-functional teams for cost savings efforts
• Stay abreast of market trends, monitor category performance metrics and assess strategies
  
  

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree is required. Strong preference for an Engineering degree. Master’s is preferred
• 5+ years of experience sourcing control systems and instrumentation.
• Strong technical understanding of control systems and instrumentation.
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to influence
• Analytical thinker and business intelligence gathering ability; Attention to detail.
