Where are you from?

Recently we went on a vacation, and met a whole bunch of spirited strangers every other day at the beach shacks of Goa, front their skin in the Sun over platters of cut fruits and sausages.

Soon as we sit down in surrounding seats, friendly introductions would fill up the air.

Strangely, I found ourselves giving different answers at different points in time.?

• Kolkata, where I belong.
• Gurgaon, where I live now.
• Or Bombay, where I was visiting my spouse.

At times, I felt I didn't even know what words would come out of my mouth moments before the question was thrown at me.

Ever found yourself in that situation?

As I think of it now, I feel this way:

There’s aspiration.?

Then there’s balance.?

And beyond all of it, there’s a sense of peace, just.?

I guess they call it Home!
