Where are you at on the Crisis Scale?

When I go into an organization, my first pass is to assess if you are in Crisis or some other level on the spectrum of organizational stability. I thought I'd share this concept with you today and ask you to assess where are you and if you should take an action.
If you are at a 5, let's talk... it's a horrible place to be! I know from experience!
If you are at a 4, you're taking the position to try to do it yourself, but please know your team needs you to have the courage to ask for help. Don't be a hero by going alone. Be a hero by surrounding yourself with smarter people. Might I suggest we talk?
A level 3 is okay and if you're happy staying there, I respect that. However, a change in the environment (customer requirements, downsizing, a recall) can send you into a 4 or 5 real fast. Shore up your systems to be sure you will remain in control
A level 2 is sweet! You and your team value making continual changes and improvements because that's the culture you have. Run with it because it will help you to stay ahead of any environmental issues or respond responsibly.
If you are at Level 1, you don't need me and you should congratulate yourself and the team. Your customers will see you as a value added partner and move with you vs. the parent / child relationship others have when they think of customers.
If you have a great story to tell about being at a level 1 or 2, I'd love to hear about it. It's possible your story can be on my podcast. Head over to my website Dropinceo.com and listen to some of the episodes. If you have a story or know someone, please contact me via Linkedin or message me at [email protected] .
