Where Are We ?

In a very real way, what is being asked of us now is no more or less than to become consciously aligned with what life has always required on this planet. Life is largely a process of adaptation to the circumstances in which we exist. A perennial give and take has been going on between living matter and its inanimate surroundings, between one living being and another, ever since the dawn of life in the prehistoric oceans. The secret of health and happiness lies in successful adjustment to the ever-changing conditions on this globe; the penalties for failure in this great process of adaptation are disease and unhappiness.'
We need to understand what we can and cannot do !
There are some things that we can control, and there are other things that we can't. There are things that we can change, and there are other things that we must simply learn to live with. By accepting what we can't do, we free up much time and energy that can be devoted to what we can do. By being at peace with the things we cannot change, we give ourselves more power and effectiveness over the areas where we can indeed make a difference. We could waste our time and energy complaining that the ocean is too deep and wide. Or we could figure out how to sail across it.We could fall back on the excuse that the mountains are too high to get past. Or we could climb our way over and through them. It’s great to be well aware of what we can do. And it’s even better to also acknowledge and accept what we can't do. For that gives us the ability to put all our energy and resources into efforts that will truly make a positive difference. Accept what we can't do, and we’ll find great success in what we can do.
We need to expand our perspective !
When we focus only on ourselves, we severely limit our options. When our thoughts are centered only on us, those thoughts cut us off from a whole world of possibilities. It’s all too easy to become frustrated, disillusioned, angry and bitter when our own perspective is the only one we consider. Our own narrow concerns can seem painfully overwhelming if we give all your attention and energy to them. The way out of such pain and frustration is to expand our perspective beyond ourselves. Genuinely take other people into consideration, and our positive possibilities multiply dramatically. Paying attention to the concerns of others, and we’ll gain valuable insights that otherwise would not be available to we. When we think, act and live beyond ourselves, and all sorts of new, positive possibilities arise. When the concerns of our own ego fall away, an enormous amount of energy is set free. When we are no longer restricted to our own narrow perspective, a whole new set of magnificent opportunities will open up to us. Let's seek to make a difference not merely for ourselves but for all of life. And many of the limitations that once hounded us will suddenly be gone.
The seeds you nourish are those that flourish !
Those seeds that receive water and nourishment are the seeds that will grow. We need to spend a little time to check out what seeds in our life are we watering right now?
Life is constantly sprouting new possibilities. During each day, many and various influences will fall upon the fertile ground of our consciousness. The quality of our life depends on which of those influences we allow to take hold and grow. It pays to select them wisely. If we nourish the seeds of anger, violence, envy and resentment, then thorny, tangled stalks will soon spring up all around us. If instead we nurture the seeds of love, hope, kindness, creativity and joy, a lush and lovely garden will begin to flower in our life. Let's choose in each moment ways to nourish those seeds that will in turn grow to nourish and support us. We need to hold on to and build those influences that will bring value, meaning, richness and fulfillment to our life.
If we follow those possibilities that are the most positive and meaningful. And make the garden of your life a beautiful, peaceful and productive place, what's more to ask for!

7 年Beautiful article... yes, the key is to correctly identify, prioritise and act on the actions for a positive outcome... However, practically, this would not be done 100% of the time...
