Where are we headed?

?? As governments around the world struggle to get to grips with the events unfolding here's what we know. This isn't the first time and it won't be the last.

So what have we learnt from history???

  1. You must immunise your business from the economy. Because if you don't, you're doomed, for reasons that may be about to become obvious. 
  2. The only way to do that is to become brilliant at getting customers - and able to do it so fast, that a downturn that destroys many businesses, is an irrelevance for you.
  3. Things that we were willing to ignore a couple of months ago need to be fixed as a matter of urgency.
  4. The next few months are clearly going to be challenging.
  5. Obviously going into this period with ineffective marketing and no clear strategy is not an option.

?? This is not the time to cut advertising. True, it is well documented, brands that increase advertising during a recession, when competitors are cutting back, can improve market share and return on investment at a lower cost than during good economic times.

This is the time to step up your Marketing Strategy. ????
