For the second year running, Lloyds Banking Group is collaborating with the Will Aid charity partnership to help connect customers who wish to make a will with a local law firm. Taking part in Will Aid can benefit a legal practice in many ways; from being introduced to new clients and benefiting from local PR, to gaining morale-boosting goodwill by raising much-needed funds for wonderful causes.
The request from Will Aid is that during November a law firm waive the fee for writing a basic wills and instead, invite clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid. Donations support the vital work of the nine partner charities. It is completely up to firms to choose how many Will Aid clients are take on, but of course, the more that firms write the more funds raised (and the more potential new clients to meet).
Promotion for Will Aid 2018 has already begun - be part of it!
This is a special year for Will Aid as it’s their 30th anniversary. Over the last three decades, solicitors have raised an incredible £20 million in donations, written over 300,000 wills and helped change countless lives. And this year, Will Aid is expecting even more demand than ever, so now is the perfect time to sign up to the 2018 campaign!
Right now nine of the country’s best known charities (ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sight Savers and Trocaire) are actively promoting participating solicitors to hundreds of thousands of their supporters, so don't miss out.
Will Aid have also begun their annual PR drive - every year they work extremely hard to ensure the general public are made aware of the great work of the Will Aid solicitors and their firms. We will be helping to promote the message that solicitors are the gold standard of will writing and we’d love law firms to be a part of this year’s campaign.
