Where there's a will, there's a way

From driver to store manager: David Jimenez has an impressive career behind him

It all began in 2000 with an advert on a poster in which Domino's Switzerland was looking for drivers. David was also looking, but for a change. He applied and was accepted. This was the start of a career path that he can look back on with pride today.

David was born in Geneva. His mother is Swiss, his father Spanish. After leaving school, the now 42-year-old decided to train as an interior decorator. "I had met my teacher in private and he described his job to me so vividly that I thought it was my dream job at the time," recalls David. After his apprenticeship, however, he realized that he was not one hundred percent satisfied.

Opportunities to develop further

That's why, after he discovered the advert, he applied directly as a driver and all-rounder. He quickly realized that he had more opportunities at Domino's Switzerland. "I was incredibly motivated by the prospect of developing myself further and learning more." So much so that he took on a management role as Assistant Store Manager in 2007 and became Store Manager in 2014. He has been Senior Store Manager since 2023. "The biggest challenge, however, was successfully passing the Geneva cafetier patent," recalls the half-Spaniard.

Loyalty and trust

Loyalty, trust and a tight organization are important to David in his work. "It has to be a good atmosphere, my team has to be happy, then the customers will be happy too," says David Jimenez.? "My next goal is to keep my shop growing and to train future managers."

In his private life, he finds balance with his family, which is particularly important to him, but also with various hobbies such as camping, climbing, skiing and diving. His motto in life: "Where there's a will, there's a way. This sentence gives you so much courage and ensures that you always remain optimistic."
