Where are the Project Manager responsibilities in Scrum?

In addition to my previous post on projects and Scrum, I compared some of the responsibilities of a project manager to those same responsibilities of the roles within Scrum.
This comparison is of course (too) easy and a bit short-sighted, and the list of responsibilities is not exhaustive. However, often this helps to explain to my customers that not having a project manager does not mean these things are not taken care of. Just my 2 cents.

6 年Good comparison. In real life though, when you show this list there are always project managers who try to defend themselves by saying that their role cannot be replaced or mapped to Scrum Team. How do you normally react to this situation?

6 年Nice comparison! My two cents: I am not sure about the relation between the statement of work and the DoD. I think the Product Backlog is a better match. To Monitoring progress, I would add that the team is also transparant about progress.
