Where are they now?

Where are they now?

213 days ago, I launched a Zoom call I want you to know about.

“The MBA candidates on this Saturday morning Zoom call are all pretty ambitious. One is aiming for Harvard Business School. Another, an engineering manager, for Stanford. An American who lives abroad has set her sights on Columbia Business School. Still another, a medical doctor in Nigeria, for Northwestern Kellogg, Michigan Ross, and Minnesota Carlson.”

These are the words of John Byrne, Founder and Editor in Chief of Poets&Quants. He had joined the Zoom call to see first-hand what happens when you create a group coaching service. John knew that “This do-it-yourself approach, with just a bit of hand-holding, is a rare low-cost coaching model.”?

But that’s not what I’m here to talk about.??

Instead, I want to tell you about where these candidates are now, 213 days later.

One is happily headed to London Business School with a full scholarship. She is?super excited to be in London next year and feels LBS is a great fit for her.?

Another one, who was one of the founding members of my group coaching service, is now a happy admit to Ross and Duke. When he wrote to share the news, he said?“You seriously know your stuff, Petia! You know exactly what admissions committees are looking for in applicants. But more importantly, you care about people and their dreams. Whenever we’ve talked, you’ve always shown so much passion for helping me succeed.”

Yet another one got into Columbia Business School with a full-tuition scholarship. When he messaged me with the news, he wrote:?“Literally in tears! Thanks for everything, Petia! You were god sent, and others should know!”

And the medical doctor? Oh, do I have a story to tell you about her! Another one of my candidates, an amazing entrepreneur who worked with me on his EMBA application, sponsored her participation in my group coaching service! He had some credit left in his hourly consulting package so here’s what he did:?“I was hoping to pass forward my remaining credit to someone you feel is worthy so that they too can benefit from working with you.”

It doesn’t get much cooler than this, not for me at least. And I had to match his generosity so since August, the medical doctor has been part of the group coaching service free of charge. She got interview invites from a whole bunch of her dream schools and already has acceptances from a few!

Now, what started as Sprints has not been solely about what MBA candidates have learned from me. I have learned just as much from them. And on April 4, a bigger and better version of my group coaching service?MBA Application Boost Camp will open for enrollment !??

But just a heads up. High-touch means?there are a limited number of seats.?Anyone on this list will be the first to know when enrollment opens .?

When I talk to MBA candidates at the start of the MBA application process, the one word they all use is “overwhelming”. There is so much you need to learn and so many decisions you need to make.?

A myriad tiny forks in the road where the road signs are confusing. “Do I take a right here?”?

You are new to the process and you lack empirical information to make the right decisions. The learning curve is steep and it’s so painful to learn through trial and error.?

Should I take the GMAT, the GRE, or apply with a waiver??

What part of the MBA Application do I tackle first?

What is the weight of the MBA Application components??

Where do I begin?

There is a ton of noise out there, literally thousands of MBA admissions outlets blasting advice. But so much of it is too generic. Or it’s simply guessing, a well-intentioned hearsay that is not backed up by actual MBA admissions expertise. So the choices you make end up feeling like a shot in the dark.?

There is a better way. The MBA Application Boost Camp is a rare opportunity to work directly me. And?on April 4, you will have the chance to take the first step .?

Onwards and upwards,

Petia
