Where the newborn fits on the family tree

The night before my oldest granddaughter Sierra was to leave for the hospital to have my second great grandson, I shared with her family pictures of her grands. Wife Gwynelle cleans up my desk area in which I write, so she comes across some of the pictures I keep. I like to keep pictures of various family members when they were young and late family elders.
Thus, I showed Sierra a picture of her father, Sherman II, when he was just a few days old. She saw me at about 10 years old, her great grandmother Sammye Miller, her great great grandmother Bessie Adams, and her great great great grandmother. I had even the house that her great great grandmother Bessie Adams was born in 1893.
I guess I just wanted Sierra to understand where her baby fits into the family puzzle. The pictures of wife Gwynelle’s family were missing.
