Where Are the Mountains?

Mountains are obstacles that steer us at the face every now and then.
Some scale them so easily while others are stopped entirely by them. So, the question comes to mind about what makes the difference between the two groups.
That's the essence of this piece.
Years back, a friend was struggling with the usage of Microsoft excel to do his office work. He founds it too strenuous to be able to deploy it to do some of the simple analysis his work required.
The company he worked for have shut down trainings and they solely believe that this aspect of soft skills could be cross breed among the employees.
This friend will complain every time about his employer and how they've not given him the opportunity to even learn something that will add value to their business.
He brought it up as a challenge in one of our mastermind meetings and we narrowed it down to him being his own mountain. He took the honest counsel, partnered with a junior employee and learnt the skill required.
Within months, he was able to do so many things he dreaded with his excel. Ask me what happened? His career soared!
The truth is that there are so many artificial mountains that we build against ourselves. And they hold us down. This require a personal assessment and humility in order to be able to bring them out to the surface.
And when you discover them, the next step is how to scale them. But discovery is paramount.
There are so many artificial mountains that we build against ourselves. And they hold us down.
Ignorance is real but it is never and excuse for anyone. It is not an excuse for non-performance at work, neither is it an excuse for staying broke and will never be an excuse for not starting a business idea that you've carried for many years in your mind.
This is the reason I'm reaching out to you today to remove that veil of ignorance from your professional and business pursuits.
Be Humble. Learn what you've been yearning to know. Write that book. Attend those coaching classes. Listen to those great podcasts that will propel you forward. Whatever you do, remove the veil of Ignorance.
And the simple way to do this is to seek knowledge.

Do you know anything about Dyson Sphere?
It is a hypothetical megastructure that encompasses a star and captures a large percentage of its solar output. According to Earthsky, it is a megastructure that could theoretically harvest all the energy of a star and supply them for the benefit of mankind.
Do you think that's possible? Yes, it is. I don't believe in impossibility.
I have written a science fiction novel that captures this concept in a very succint and enjoyable way. This is going to be a good read for any adult from 18 upwards.
Will you be interested in it? Send me "Dyson Sphere" in DM. You'll qualify for special discount upon its release.
This will open your eyes to possibilities of our world and how to collaborate and partner to make things happen.
