Where I am Heading, shifting gears and changing direction...

Well it has been awhile now that I am a free agent and no longer being told to stop posting by management as we will provide you with all the leads you need. For so long I have wanted to post about my passion for repairing broken BMW's and selling them and not take away from home security sales.

My posts and articles have been previously based on where I was in sales and home security. Now don't get me wrong I have enjoyed my time and have loved selling security but, I think you have to ask what really gets you up in the morning and cars have always been there.

When I see a broken BMW in the auctions or at someone's home I see the need to fix it.

From seeing this in the auctions.

Well looking at you would say a few panels radiator and a bit of work and it is back on the road.

Well the problem with buying from the auctions at the moment there is no inspections. Before this car was crashed in the error logs there was a failure in the engine that made this car unable to run a good 3 months before the repairable write off sheet said it had a crash. The bent eye on the tow hook kind of tells a tail.

But, I find that a challenge so after the panels were sorted we pulled the engine down. and what did we find.

Broken timing chain, damaged Vanos gears broken valve cover that had just been glued back on, Valvetronic motor with a short both vanos solenoids no longer working, Wrong spark plugs, 3 out of 4 fuel injectors not working, fuel pump dead and the list went on and on. The things that a picture doesn't say.

This was abused Bimmer the faults didn't stop there electrical faults through out the wiring harness. I think by the time I started putting it back together there wasn't a module I hadn't repaired or replaced.

Before I put this car on the market I am going to drive it around for a while just to make sure I haven't missed anything as the abuse this car has faced in it's life.

As you can see I have rid of the horrible wheels that it come with and have put the wheels that BMW intended for the car. Although this is not quite finished I am already looking for the next project unfortunately I only have room at home for one at a time.
