Where is the Hospitality when needed?

Hospitality is a spiritual and valuable asset for building a gastronomic community that is suffering from the present calamity. It is an ancient and sacred art as we well know, which opens space at our table of conscience for everyone at this present moment, to strangers or even guests. We will all need each other in order to overcome this confusing and unknown storm.

In the genuine warmth and welcoming spirit of our people, the passion for others, the stage where we all have a place to make others happy and for which hospitality is best known to those who visit us, encompasses all cultural divisions as a path of social inclusion, transcending the past and any nationality adding value due to the differences of each one of us. When receiving the flavors, products, lifestyles and experiences that accompany us to meet again, around this scourge now is the time. Government be responsible and supportive and act when and where is needed.

In addition, its inclusion extends to all creatures and to our own environment. Although these unique social customs can be applied, there remains a shared system of emotional values and attitudes of principles that created the pure essence of our hospitality. And, as with all spiritual values, it is deeply embedded in our conscience as restaurateurs, hoteliers, or even individuals who make time available for others.

The present time seems to be providing a functional definition of hospitality that we know and observe with its importance in the future life of the communities in the near future that we hope will come quickly. What will be the future of restaurant business? Specialty cuisine or signature cuisine? Community or social kitchen?

I will conclude with some challenges and questions for reflection on the current use of the hospitality intention we practice and how we know it. Capitalism ... will have to change! Be brave to call same immediate actions like financial support, rents, loan fees, employee benefits.

So, allow me to make this speech more of an invitation, to a banquet of ideas to delight and let ourselves fall into that deeper space, from the intoxicating logic to the expansion felt in the heart, where only we can find a resonant field of our own experiences, and will give consent to broaden our focus of perception, open up positive thoughtful arms and embrace ourselves, our family, the community and humanity in general. My friends, this table can only be set by us!

We will only succeed if we are in this together for the long and short run and help those that are left behind to reach us without interest and interests.
