Are you experiencing a personal storm? How are you staying afloat? Hinihanap mo si God, pero hindi mo sya makita. You ask for help pero hindi Sya sumasagot.
I have my fair share of storms, and recently sunod sunod sila, so napatanong ako, “Lord, where are You in my storm?
Bakit minsan, parang iniiwan tayo ni God to survive on our own? Hindi Sya nagpaparamdam or hindi mo sya maramdaman? As you struggle, you pray for deliverance, pero parang hindi Sya nakikinig?
Where is God in the storm?
When Peter walked on water, he started to sink when he saw the strong wind around him. When he began to drown, he told Jesus, “Lord, save me?” Where was Jesus in the storm? Exactly where He was before Peter sank.
Jesus stretched out His hand to save him, but Peter had a choice—to save himself by swimming back to the boat or to take the hands of Jesus so they could walk back together.
Where is God in your storm?
When Israel was going through the desert, they encountered many problems on their way to the Promised Land. Kulang ang pagkain, walang tubig, maraming kaaway, at iba pa.
Where was God when they were in the desert? He was with Israel as a cloud by day to shade them from the sun and as a pillar of fire by night to warm them from the cold. God was where He had always been–with them.

Where is God in your desert?
Bakit when we ask God for help, parang hindi sya nakikinig? When we pray for deliverance, parang ayaw Nya tumulong?
Possible ba na sumagot na Sya, kaso lang hindi mo nagustuhan yung sagot Nya? So you rejected His help and sabi mo, “Lord, pwedeng iba na lang?” Baka He already sent the solution to your problem, kaso lang gusto mo yung paraan mo hindi yung kanya. So instead of taking His hand, sabi mo, “Lord, kaya ko na ito, suportahan mo na lang ako.”
Whenever I encounter a storm, I take comfort in a promise Jesus gave in Matthew 28:20 (NASB95), where He said, “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
When I am in a storm, I remind myself that Jesus is with me, His Father is around me, and the Holy Spirit is inside me. He will deliver me, but He will do it according to His ways, not mine. When He offers His hands to save me, ako dapat ang mag adjust sa kanya and hindi ko dapat pilitin na Sya ang mag adjust sa akin.
Unfortunately, many people would insist on their solutions and reject the ways of the Lord, kasi naniniwala sila na their storm is greater than the Lord. They would reason, “If God is greater than the storm, then bakit hindi nya ito pinahinto?”
He did not stop the storm while Peter was drowning because He wanted to show Peter that he was Lord over creation. God allowed the troubles of Israel in the desert to show them that, as Lord, He will provide their needs and protect them from their enemies.
Are you in a storm? Matagal ka na ba dyan? Kaya ba tumatagal kasi you are refusing the hand of the Lord? Gusto mo sya ang mag-adjust sa iyo, kaysa ikaw ang mag-adjust sa Kanya. Have you been asking Him to change the people around you, but ang gusto Nya ikaw ang magbago? Have you been doing what makes you fail again and again expecting a different result? Tawag ni Albert Einstein dyan INSANITY!
But whether you are in a storm or not, I hope the song ‘Blessings’ by Laura Story will encourage you.
