Where is the driest place on earth?
It seems like a trick question, and it is. One would choose any one of hundreds of deserts on earth as a logical guess, but you would be wrong. The driest climate on the planet has an ocean, and fish and mammals of all kinds. The place is called Antartica. Dryness is measured by the amount of water in the air at a given time, and a desert is humid compared to Antartica. This is a valuable bit of understanding for Water Damage Contractors that have been misled for decades. They have been taught by their industry that wet goes to dry. If this were the case why all the water in the driest place on earth? Because their theory is all wrong and they know it. The continent of Antartica has the lowest Specific Humidty or grains of water per pound on earth and yet it does not absorb a single drop of water in a space over 5 million square miles.
So here is the lesson for Water Damage Contractors everywhere: If you have paid to attend a class where the instructor tells you "wet goes to dry" you need to demand your money back. Lowering the grains of water in a flooded space will not evaporate a single drop of water or there would be no water in Antartica.
