Where does the future lie with Drones in India? Dormant to Dominance
As children, we were delighted to control RC helicopters as they swiftly moved around our house or found time to play with them after school hours on the ground with our friends. We played it till we had exhausted its charge only to rush home back to recharge them and wait alongside while it recharged partially for another play of 30 minutes. Time felt slow back then as innovation was thriving. As we grew up, camera drones became a trending topic to discuss with our friends while studying their specifications, camera quality, flying time and a lot more. While our interests were still in RC cars or helicopters due to the expensive costs of those camera drones, they never felt desirable. Gradually the news about drones started becoming familiar to everyone, intriguing many and got their eyes turned towards this new cutting-edge technology. Once it became more accessible to everyone children found a new tool to play with, adults found a new device to spend their free time, innovators found a technology to work upon and companies got their profits.
Initially, people were ambivalent about the emergence of drones, reluctant to adhere to it. While technology rapidly rose, its prominence grew with drones' pertinence as people's most reliable source of entertainment through IPL match shows and colourful drone displays in the skies. In a cliched way, technology could be a bane, highlighted through military drone attacks which prompted a stark reminder of how we had to plan for contingent circumstances as we look forward. India, the youngest nation filled with a vibrant and diverse population has been the changing factor in every field with brilliant minds joining forces to drive the emerging technology towards a vision. Several drone manufacturers are currently working towards the vision with support from the Indian government, encouraging young entrepreneurs and people who can bring about a change in this field. Within a decade, India will be at the forefront of Drone manufacturing for various applications. For the growth to be more explosive, numerous companies have started taking interest in the drone market, with innovation and ambition to discover the extraordinary. Indigenousness comes along with this to mark a significant stand to prove self-reliance rather than dependence on others. As soon as the market value increases we might see the exponential thrust of drones' stature propel towards the unknown horizons.
A dormant field once started to become a dominant one with the world turning its attention towards the next robust technology elevating its eminence amongst the best.
