Where Do You Find Inspiration for Data Visualization?
Bill Shander
Keynote speaker, workshop leader, LinkedIn Learning Instructor focused on information design, data storytelling & visualization, and creativity
For some, inspiration may be in short supply when it comes to data visualization. They might simply crank out charts quickly and thoughtlessly, simply choosing between pies, lines, and bars, based on which buttons are available in their software. Honestly, in some cases, that may be just fine, even if uninspired.
For others, the goal is to go beyond basic charts or at least push the envelope in how those basic charts are executed. In those cases, a little inspiration can go a long way to help spark new ideas, creative approaches, maybe even some innovation, if you're lucky!
Lesson: Finding Inspiration
