In today's quest for leadership guidance, we explore various avenues. Some delve into the realm of politics, while others seek inspiration from the entertainment industry. Many tend to turn to accomplished CEOs, bosses, successful people, management consultants, and scholars holding PhDs for insights into leadership.
However, the fundamental truth remains unchanged: the most valuable source of leadership wisdom today, as it has been for centuries, is found within the pages of the Bible.
We should always aspire to be dedicated students of leadership, whether or not we already embrace this role. While becoming an effective leader may not guarantee the ability to leave a lasting spiritual legacy for future generations, it unquestionably provides us with the greatest opportunity to do so.
We find ourselves in an era of tolerance, where protecting individuals' feelings often takes precedence over proclaiming unvarnished truth. Those who seek to influence others to embrace their beliefs can encounter skepticism. In such a climate, we should all find encouragement to stand firm against prevailing opinions. As Thomas Jefferson famously declared, "In matters of fashion, swim with the current, in matters of conscience, stand like a rock.
The goal for aspiring leaders is to be transformed. And if you are transformed as a leader, then you won't be able to keep from influencing your world.
