Where do ideas come from?

The answer is simple - everywhere.

Ideas come from inspiration and stimuli, the world is full of both.

Some ideas are developed to address a need or to solve a problem that needs solving.

Other ideas can purely be for enjoyment, entertainment, and simple pleasures.

A painting is an idea.

A video for a product is an idea.

A book is an idea.

A song is an idea.

A t-shirt design is an idea.

A doodle is an idea.

The inspirations for all ideas are everywhere, how you find them is up to how you search for them.

Sitting at a computer staring at other people's ideas is not exactly a great way to find your ideas, new ideas, or fresh ideas.

Get out into the world around you and seek out inspiration.

A crack in a wall could stimulate something.

A bird singing in a tree could trigger something.

A uniquely dressed individual could inspire something.

The list is endless because the world offers up an endless supply of stimuli.

You can also find inspiration indoors, but not in your office or at your computer.

Stroll through some art galleries.

Wander around museums.

Drop into junk shops.

Go and see a band performing.

Sit down and listen to some spoken word poetry.

There so many options and all of them are ready to help you tap into new ideas.

If you're sitting at your desk, staring at your screen, maybe scrolling through social media pages and checking your emails while bemoaning that you cannot find any inspiration then you only have yourself to blame.

Ideas will make themselves known to you, but you need to go and find where they are hiding.
