Where do I start?

Where do I start?

Hey lovely,

So where to start?

It feels like I’ve got to summarise a whole year in one email

DON’T WORRY! That’s not what this email is.?I got over that feeling and realised I’m not quite ready to do my reflection email yet and that it’s ok to take time to do that. But also, this is about December.

These feelings of overwhelm and emotions and needing to do all the things is quite typical at this time of year and that’s exactly what I spoke about in my recent podcast, I hate new years. Strong statement I know - but take a listen so you can hear about why that is and ways that I like to focus on goal setting instead.

As always, there’s been a lot so it’s time to jump in!

I hope you have had a fab holiday season lovely one, and I just want to say a huge heartfelt thanks for being here. It means the world to me that you’re reading these words.

I’d love to hear from YOU about what has been a highlight of your past month (again, let’s not put the pressure of the whole year on ourselves.)

Cheers

Emma

The December highlights:

  • I hosted my first ever Christmas party and it was on the fabulous Rosie Boat Charter! It was such a fabulous success, I’ll be running these gorgeous networking events quarterly in 2024. Want in? Write back and I’ll make sure you’re on the list!?
  • Attended another Christmas lunch in Sydney hosted by the gorgeous Shelly Horton and a bunch of my business women friends. I don’t often get to attend Christmas parties because I work for myself so it was lovely to have a few of them organised by business owners for business owners.
  • AND another Christmas party! The gorgeous Socialista, Mon, hosted her Sleigh Christmas party in Sydney and I changed my flights to attend. Didn't want to miss out on this very Instagrammable event, but also the chance to spend time with even more business beauties. Here's my reel of all our fun.
  • Jade Warne and I hosted our final photoshoot of the year in Melbourne and it was jam packed with amazing people and such a high to end on. There’ll be less of these group shoots next year so if you see them, jump in quick!!?
  • WAIT! We actually hosted another photoshoot just a week later in Sydney and it was incredible to capture photos of my gorgeous client Christine for her upcoming She Freights Retreat, more on that below! You can forgive me for not being able to keep up!
  • My husband and I had an amazing stay at Taronga Zoo Wildlife Retreat - a long awaited birthday gift thanks to covid. Such a treat to go back there after being at the Business Chicks retreat there over 18 months ago.
  • SIR RICHARD BRANSON CAME TO SPEAK! And I got to help the Business Chicks team on the event in Melbourne. WOW! What a highlight. We also had an incredible members dinner the night before and it was such a beautiful time to reconnect with so many of the amazing women I’ve met through this network in the past few years. Treasure friends, clients and colleagues.
  • We had a beautiful Christmas celebration with my family in Sydney for my darling nephew Louis. Sadly, it might be his last as he has a terminal illness. Please read his story here and if you can, donate and share. Any support for my family through this immense challenge is so gratefully appreciated.

Client wins

I love celebrating the success of my clients and encouraging them to do the same. Each Friday I share my own three wins but, in these monthly updates, I want to highlight some of my clients' wins too. Please join me in celebrating them!

  • Christine Kankunnen launched her first ever retreat off the back of the India Retreat, She Freights will take a group of people to India to source products from suppliers. And I’ll be joining her as co-host. I’m so proud and excited!
  • Karla McDiarmid won Best Spa Manager Oceania and Best luxury Skin Clinic Australia at the World Luxury Spa Awards Greece 2023. This was back in October but I still want to celebrate this massive achievement!
