Where Do I Get One Of These?

Where Do I Get One Of These?

Hey,

I used to suck at choosing business partners.

In fact I was so bad at it, when my last one went horribly wrong, my wife Laura was dead against me ever having another one.

So when I partnered up with Cody Barton in business…

…she was not happy.

Fast forward a few years and of course she is VERY happy about the success our partnership has created.

So what went wrong B.C (before Cody?) and why has working with someone like Cody changed EVERYTHING?

You probably already know this, but let me share it again.

As human beings we are naturally drawn to people like us.

People who think the same way…

…people who see the world in the same way

…people who value the same things that we do…

…they’ll likely even believe the same things as we do.

So the problem with my B.C. phase of business partnerships is that I was drawn to people like me.

Now I am a visionary at heart.

I see where I want to go, even if others can’t, and then point in that direction and off I go.

When I meet someone who is also a visionary, our conversations are wild.

It is thrilling and stimulating and exciting for me to talk to another visionary.

Here’s the thing.

The mistake I made B.C. (before Cody) was thinking they’d be great to get into business with.

WRONG!!!!!!

Getting into business with another visionary created absolute chaos.

Sure the vision we created was exciting…

…but there was no one to turn that chaos into order.

There was no one to iron out the inevitable wrinkles that appear in the fabric of doing business when you invent new products.

There was no one to hire, train and manage the new people we’d need to get us where we wanted to go.

It got very messy.

But everything changed when I met Cody Barton.

Why?

You see, Cody has a superpower.

He is what is known as an integrator.

That means he gets excited about systems and processes and plans and implementation.

He just gets things done.

He is the perfect foil to my visionary superpower.

I point, Cody plans…

…and then he makes those plans a reality.

It’s the secret to our multi-million dollar success.

Why do I share this with you?

There are two reasons.

First of all, if like me you are a visionary, you need to know you need an integrator.

Secondly, if like Cody you are an integrator, you need to know just how important you are to business success.

92% of businesses fail to break the million dollar mark.

Why?

Because they don’t have an integrator.

It’s ok having a great idea and vision for your business…

…but someone has to make it happen.

That’s where integrators come in.

[SIDE NOTE] I highly recommend the book Rocket Fuel (by Gino Wickman and Mark C. Winters), to explain the important interplay between visionaries and integrators.

So if you’re a visionary and you realize the importance of an integrator, you might be asking yourself the question “Where the F do I get one of these?

It really depends on where you are in your business.

If you are still in the early days of building your business, then maybe partnering up with an accomplished integrator might be a bit premature,

But you probably still need things to get done that you aren’t good at or naturally inclined to do.

That’s why I recommend you hire a Virtual Assistant.

You see, a good VA is like a mini-integrator for you.

They’ll implement things for you swiftly and successfully…

….and probably better than you could if you tried to do it yourself.

I persuaded Cody to share the system he uses in our business to integrate virtual assistants and have them do amazing work for us.

It’ll save you a ton of time, a ton of heartache…

….and will probably make you more money…

…without you having to do the work.

You know it makes sense.

Check it out.
