Where Do Employers Find Experienced Office Help?

I’ve been asked this question for over 15 years, since the first day I opened the now well-known Poel Group Executive Staffing firm. Many companies are in need of experienced office help like administrative assistants, AP / AR, shipping / receiving and other similar employees with prior work experience in the salary range of 35 to 55K. Employers have always had a hard time finding experienced employees for these type positions.

They always ask, “Chaim, I understand that the Poel Group sources employees for high-caliber executive and management positions, so where can I go to find experienced talent to fill my mid-level positions?”

Until now I didn’t have a satisfactory answer. I understood those employers’ needs very well, but since I was established in my niche, I focused only on placing executive and upper management candidates in order to build my firm and strengthen the Poel Group Executive Staffing brand. Rather, the focus of MIddleStaff Inc. is finding motivated individuals who are past the “boot camp” stage and already have prior work experience. They’ve been employed previously and have gained experience in work ethics, effective time management, office computer software and client relations. These candidates are hard to find in the employment sector because neither executive recruiters nor standard employment agencies cater to this crowd- standard employment agencies mainly staff entry-level positions and executive recruiters focus on filling only executive-level and management positions. This creates a void that mid-level positions fall through.
