Where do charging stations get their power from?

Short but sweet. I was curious about Tesla's numbers along with all the other PHEV/EV. They come in different colors as well as ranges, they have fast charging, leadfooted style discharging, they hardly make any noise but they hum like air conditioning units... anyway, I wanted to map out the charging stations(not most recent) and compare that to the power lines that are in California. The curiosity was summertime power outages. Is the power demand going to be available in the summertime when the number of EV's outnumber fossil fuel?

I personally don't care what kind of vehicle you choose to drive nor the amount of power it takes to charge it, all I am asking in return is respect every vehicle on the road(even the slow ones).

Anywho... the link is from ACRGIS that layers California transmission lines and Electric vehicle level 2 charging stations. Enjoy!

Noticed California Electric Transmission Lines has been deprecated... I have added U.S. Electric Power Transmission Lines layer released/updated on 2/22/2024. This map covers The United States and its territories.
