Unsurprisingly, all 30 of the areas with the highest population of CEOs are located in London and the home counties. That’s despite the fact that the 2.5 million businesses registered in England and Wales are more evenly spread around the country.

While it's no secret that large businesses tend to concentrate in the South East, the prevalence of chief executives and other senior officials in these regions is notably disproportionate.
