Where Can I Get a House Like That?

Where can I get a house like what? You can get a house, with an updated kitchen like the one shown in the photo, in Baltimore City.

Baltimore City is hot and home prices are relatively low.

Relative to what? Relative to Baltimore County, the prices are low and relative to Washington DC the prices are extremely low.

What about crime in Baltimore City? There is the universal statement that crime can be anywhere, however, that said, the crime for which Baltimore City is notorious, exists within pockets of the city, not the city as a whole.  

The following neighborhoods, which is not an exhaustive list, all of which are within Baltimore City, have low crime:

Brewer's Hill, Canton, Fell's Point, Little Italy, Harbor East, Federal Hill, Ottterbein, Locust Point, and Riverside.

In these neighborhoods, you can feel relatively safe in the parks, at the inner harbor, along the harbor promenade, or in the streets. Of course, as is the case in most areas, you should keep a vigilant eye out for the potential although unlikely incidences of crime.
