Where can Agile fail?

Well to start with, as per Forrester report, only 4% of organizations considered agile in 2011. Today, 59% of organizations have been agile for more than five years.?

This shows how agile is dominating industries to deliver their products and services to customers.?However, it's not always easy to run an agile.?While teams still face problems such as lack of collaboration, discipline, availability, and flexibility issues, it is possible to manage these issues by using good processes and tools.

Of all the challenges, however, I believe that the most important is the lack of ownership to transform themselves to the values and principles of agile. It can be a huge problem for teams and if it isn't addressed properly, it can lead directly to the derailment or complete failure of agile goals.

It is not just the commitment but every team member should infuse those values and principles during their project execution strategy.

Here are some of the best ways to address it.?

1.?????Give autonomy to the teams: Managers have to do things differently. They must be change agents rather than command and control managers.

2.?????Agile has many frameworks, and hundreds of practices are hidden beneath them that can help make you more agile.

You should be open to adapting best practices to solve new problems that you encounter during project execution.

For any challenge/s, which is repeated sprint after Sprint, you should conduct a separate brainstorm session to find out what other agile practice/s you can find to resolve them.

3. Encourage the team to discuss their thoughts during the retrospective and review meetings.?These meetings can't be identical every time. They have to be unique.?Your teams should be encouraged to think differently about the next sprint.

4. During Sprint Retrospective identify and encourage development team members who can learn new skills to help them work faster, smarter and more effectively.

5. It is important for the team to learn new skills as quickly as possible so that they can be used in project execution.

These quick hacks will allow you to quickly learn the skills.

• Don't go alone, instead join a group or create a group
• Put the Punishment to avoid procrastinate - penalize yourself by say not watching your favorite movie, not eating your favorite food, or the hardest thing that you can do is paying someone some money if you do not learn this skill.
• Visualize - you saw the worst part of punishment, now you see the best part as well. Humans are driven by fear or desires. To acquire more and more things, you should tap into those two things.
• Find a mentor - mentors can give you a real time experience on the skill which helps in fast learning.
• 20 Hour commitment- spend at least 1hr a day so that it becomes a habit.
• Steal the Skill - follow someone who is good at the skill and just emulate them in your life.
• Immerse yourself - practice it whenever you find time.

6. Communication issues between scrum teams are another important aspect. It is crucial that everyone in the team is clear about the expectations and communicates any stumbling blocks so that each sprint is a success.
