This new workshop kicks off another exciting chapter in our cultural journey with community.

Born out of a series of “ Coffee and Conversation on the Couch" gatherings, recently held at Vintners Secret Winery in Childers Queensland, our two presenters will introduce a project that involves learning a straight forward computer program called Canva, where you can create something beautiful with all those photos you have taken, through to a delightful lunch and then into learning about creative writing.

About the facilitators:

?I (Desley Cowley) am facilitating the morning session. I've been working in Canva for around 10 years, having previously delivered training in Snapfish.

The reason I love Canva is because of the flexibility in how you can use the material you create. You can save digitally, download to print or print through Canva. Plus it's fun to use. Over the next few days we'll share more. Hope you can join us.

Marianne Lethbridge is facilitating the afternoon session in creative writing. Marianne is a wonderful wordsmith who has a secondary and tertiary teaching background with B Ed and M Ed qualifications.? She’s has 50 years of teaching experience and a huge love of writing.

We are both sure this project we are embarking on will be very fulfilling and creative.

Confused about the ‘Can’t wait for tomorrow’ tag at the top of the poster?

The idea came out of our conversation and our desire to create and event that attendees are really excited about.? So much so that they ‘Can’t wait for tomorrow.’

It’s our intention, with a sufficient level of interest to hold similar ongoing sessions with the group with the view to perhaps publishing a book of stories…but that’s another day.
