Where are the best places to get fit in Bedford?

As we approach the new year, many of us think about our health.
If you had to make a quick decision today about your New Year's Resolution commitment to fitness, what would you do?
- Personal Training?
- Group Fitness?
- Go it alone at a gym and use an App?
- Workout from home?
- Other?
Covid certainly changed the fitness scene for many of us. I was crushed like many others when the gyms were closed. What would I do to stay in shape? What would I do to fight the COVID BULGE!!!!
Thankfully the day the world stopped, we had weights and bands along with a TRX Trainer. For the time being it would suffice. I can't tell you how elated I was to get back into the swing of things once the gyms reopened.
Here are my thoughts on LOVE LOCAL BEDFORD GYMS
GOODLIFE: A great mix of just about anything you need. Group Classes. One on One Training or just be your lone self. I have personally frequented The Larry Uteck location several times. The place has always been spic and span clean each time I went. Staff are friendly, and the monthly rates are reasonable. I just wish it opened earlier than 7am on the weekends and that their personal training was more flexible. Sometimes just a little push or a change in routine is all a person needs.
O2 Wellness
Santana is a high level bodybuilder, so you know the commitment is there. This gym is located in Sunnyside Mall has just about everything. Yoga. Spin classes. Group fitness. I really love their MEALS 2 GO. If you live nearby, I highly recommend getting your sweat on there.
30 Minute Hit
A friend recently recommended 30 Minute Hit. If you prefer an all-female workout location check it out. Kick boxing is a great way to be in shape. Only downside is they are not open all the time. Located on the Bedford Highway, your first class is free! Haven’t tried it yet, but it looks very promising.
Now what about personal trainers? Is there anyone you would recommend? Is there another gym you would like to give a shout out to? We would love to hear from you. Feel free to comment below.
