Where am I?

Do you often find that time slips away and you cannot account for what you accomplished? We easily get consumed by tasks, projects, email and other distractions that tend to overwhelm us. Before we know it, we have lost track of where we are, what we are doing and what is most important. It’s like waking up in the middle of the night in a startle and asking yourself “where am I?” The dream suddenly becomes reality while reality becomes the dream. What is the solution? How do we come back to ourselves? It must be an intention - a resolve - that we set our minds to. At first, you may need to set your watch or alarm to remind you to stop and take note of what you are doing at the present moment, as well as what you’ve been doing since the last time you were present. Eventually, it will be easier to come back to yourself over the course of your day. Commit to the work and take the necessary steps. Seeing is believing.
