When’s the Last Time You Did This?

How passionate are you about your vision? Your purpose (typically known as “your why” by many.)

When’s the last either of them moved you deeply? By deeply, I mean, when’s the last time your were brought to tears by either of them? When’s the last time you were viscerally moved when you looked at your future?

Exactly. Sadly, most are living the same day, the same year, over and over. The biggest change many see is a little income increase and a new toy or 2.

I’ve been working with some amazing people this year. And, this fall, I’ve started helping them focus on “creating the dream that REALLY lives within them”. And, helping them also see it’s direct connection to their purpose. It’s been quite powerful. Each of my clients have been deeply moved when they (1) share their vision (2) share their why relative to their vision. The 2 go hand-in-hand. And, when you can make the powerful connection between the two, it’s magical.

Part of what I think is happening in this moment, is they FINALLY speak about out loud about a dream they’ve held within - sometimes for years and years. Whether it’s been too scary to say, or they felt the imposter syndrome at work, or they had no idea how to even start making their dream real, so they didn’t even try… or whatever, it’s amazing to hear them say what they’ve never said in ways they’ve never said it. Ever.

And, another thing that’s happened with several of them (so far) is when they are doing this POWERFUL exercise with me, when they get to this moment of answering one specific question, they’ve doubled AND tripled their stated dream, almost without hesitation. I’ve had to stay in the moment and not react to them (knowing they’ve overcome Goliath in that moment) and help them get crystal clear on what’s being said from somewhere deep within them.

And, when they talk about their WHY… their purpose… their calling… it’s an awe-inspiring moment. The AHA’s… the Oh my God’s… the Wow’s… the Emotions…

POWERFUL times one hundred.

These moments are life changing… and will impact others as well… and solidify their legacy for years to come.
