What makes us who we are is not the circumstances that challenge us most. What creates us into authentic, loving beings is what we do with those challenging circumstances.

Often a terrible life experience and the lesson we learn from it becomes the most meaningful day of your entire life.

From the moment each of us hear bad news, we become awake. We live totally in the NOW. We help each other. We share from the deepest place of our grief and from the happiest place of our souls. We cry like babies and play like fools. We are consumed in the light of Love from each other and from the Universe.

No doubt we are in the company of an army of angels. The amount of insight each of us has, the strength we feel to write words we don’t want to write, to sing songs we don’t want to sing, and to cry tears we certainly don’t ever expect to cry is what leaves an indelible mark on all of our souls.

From pain we always have a choice in life. We can reach down deep to our cores to find our Truth—speak it, live it, and know it so deeply that it changes us and all of those in our presence.

We should cry. We should shed tears for loss. But we should never forgo our Truth in the face of disaster or any kind of conditioning and suppression, causing an outpouring of anger from misaligned individuals who, in a moment, choose hate instead of love.

This is what I know: We are purified by our pain. Our tears cleanse our wounds. But our strength to heal only comes when we let healthy Truth into our Minds. When we live by the compassion forged by our pain. When we trust because we expect love, we are then freed.

Can you imagine a healed body?

Can you imagine a healed world?

Can you see love overcoming negativity, even when you are surrounded by a cloud of death?

If our Minds are healthy and know Truth, we will always know what will keep us safe. When you have a chance to know your truth, will you use it? Will you call on your faith to unfurl your brow and liquefy a hard heart? Will you trust that everything is in divine order, even those puzzles that you may never solve?

These are the days of your truth. Of my truth. Of all of our truths. Will we rise up to meet the challenge of the day and shed light into the darkness? Or will we crawl under the bushel and hide our light in fear?

It’s our choice.
