With the continued lockdown and enough destinations in our bucket list, many of us can't wait to be on our next flight. Though the pandemic situation has forced a lot of people to explore their favorite destinations across the globe virtually, the curiosity to visit these places is firing day by day.
This pandemic has also widened the scope of Nature Tourism. The preferences of people have changed, and also the parameters when selecting a destination for future travel. People are looking at quieter, clean, picturesque, and tranquil places. The selections have changed from crowded city travel to a serene, greener, and less explored destination, people are looking for fresher air.
‘Quarantine’ is the only solution? Quarantine or PCR for Travelers?
Though the pandemic has turned the travel ecosystem dramatically, the industry will bounce back. Travel is a never-ending process, and the human tendency of exploration will continue.
Quarantine at origin and arrival destination will halt the business, and it is the need of the hour to change the policy to enhance the freezing economy of the world. It might be increasing a little confidence from the Virus, but not from the most dangerous Virus ‘Collapsed Economy’. In my thoughts, to resume the situation of travel, the governments should make the PCR test compulsory and negative certification required to travel to any destination. This will not only bring back the economy but also boost confidence amongst the travelers.
Shutting down businesses to stay away from the virus is killing an equal amount of people as the virus itself. The new everyday world will never be the same, and Travel industry is taking all possible steps to prepare and change itself to adapt to the current circumstances. Regular disinfection of rooms and flights, thermal screening at airports, hotels, and various other sightseeing attractions have been adopted. Sanitizers, gloves, PPE kits, and Face shields are becoming a part of the travel vanity.
