When was your contract of employment last reviewed?

If your employment contracts haven't been reviewed for over 10 years or more the chances are they aren't aligned with current employment law or with your business.

Businesses change over time and it's important that any changes you make get reflected in your employment contract and employee handbook.

Existing employees don't need to be issued with new contracts, but you may also wish to issue them with a letter confirming this is an amendment to their contract.

If employees are promoted and have a new job title and salary it probably makes sense to give them a new contract but don't forget that they will have continuous service.
