?Altruism:?
One of the primary reasons people want to help is because of their innate desire to be altruistic. Altruism refers to the act of doing something for someone else without expecting anything in return.
?Empathy:?
People who are empathetic are more likely to want to help others. They are able to understand and share the feelings of others, and this motivates them to want to do something to alleviate their pain or suffering.

?Sense of purpose:?
Helping others can give people a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. It can provide a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from knowing they have made a positive impact on someone else's life.
Personal values:?
People's personal values can also play a role in why they want to help. For example, if someone values kindness, generosity, or community involvement, they may be more likely to want to help others.
?Gratitude:?
Helping others can also create feelings of gratitude and appreciation. When people see the impact their actions have on others, they may feel grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.
?Reciprocity:?
Finally, people may want to help others because they believe that it is the right thing to do and that others would do the same for them if they were in need. This sense of reciprocity can be a powerful motivator for helping behavior.
