When you look at this graphic, it speaks to the underlying nature of how each shift takes place, and the mental aspects behind each shift accordingly when you see Sattva or purity it is revealing mind, whereas when you see Rajas or richness it can be seen as projecting your mind on a different plane whereas when you see Tamas tattva under the veil it naturally takes you to another plane or perspective. Further, it also shows the ‘tossing of the mind’ back and forth between projecting and veiling , as well as Progress along the line of maturity this progress represents.
Now we have seen in Yoga and Vedanta teachings, we employ many techniques, but mostly teach by example and not as much through the theory that this answer will seem to imply in this translative method I am going to use now. It is quite a different thing to actually urgently press someone through overcoming the tossing of the mind between veiling and projecting on various topics. I must be honest, thought that it is not really enjoyable, even if the result is what we want. However, this is the role of the teacher is to explore and exhibit to students.
When one stills the mind between rajas and tamas, the awareness can rise in “the seeing power of the mind” and transcend and include the apparent dualities manifested by ego and ignorance (rajas and tamas, respectively) into a single unified understanding. Then, the process begins again over time, one can use this mechanism of awareness to see the underlying duality inherent in all things, and how that mechanism is really just seen in one’s perception.
This has now become fashionable to call it as an Overview Effect and was coined to describe the experience of astronauts witnessing the unified ‘ball’ of the earth floating by them and the “transcend and include” nature of this Overview Effect on the perspective of the person witness to it. Of course, this new idea has many cool associated videos, which can help one in contemplating this idea though I don’t believe that it is needed to go into space to gain this perspective, however. It has always been available with us.
Now, when we use different names for this in different areas of life. Religion is intended to address all of these different aspects in a unified commonality of approach, which is of course available to different types of minds with different outlooks; but having said that, the underlying truth does not necessarily change.
The nature of a person who abides in this knowledge of the fundamental nature of what is called as “transclusion” as their reality will automatically be empathetic due to their compassion for the person undergoing the travails of being trapped in the duality which they do not yet have the ability to transclude with an identity of itself.
If you look at the theme of all the resolving dualities is seen as the underlying aspect of nearly all the appropriate answers. Indeed, moving from regarding the world in right vs. wrong dualities becomes softer when you consider them instead to be appropriate and inappropriate. All of this against a backdrop of non-dual thinking which reveals the fundamentally unified nature of Reality that is just beyond the apparent, obvious dualities of life, which we are constantly told can be the only reality as available.
In order to “look at things from objectively from another perspective” one would need to occupy a different vantage point. This seems simple enough, but the success of the attempt depends on what the object is. As with all objectivity the problem becomes one of definition again. How does one decide what constitutes the foreground and background to a figure?
Given that humans don't have ability to see the planes in real 3D, is that not achieved by taking different perspectives in the first place? Hence, how is ‘'perspective” defined from first principles except by specifying our relationships to all other points in the universe at all times? Of course, such infinite relativity is meaningless, so (in order to cope) only one perspective on the universe is taken as the absolute reference point by which all others are judged accordingly.
