When you just want to disappear (because you’re so tired)
Tamara Beckford MD, MS
I help women break free from burnout and restore joy.
Ladies, do you ever feel like you want to disappear?
Maybe you fantasize about leaving everything behind.?
Just for a while.??
To escape the noise.?
The constant demands.?
The weight of all the responsibilities you carry every single day.
That’s what burnout does.
And that’s what so many women tell me.
Burnout isn’t just about feeling tired.?
It’s feeling like you’re running on empty, with nothing left to give — not at work, not at home, not to anyone, not even to yourself.
And then comes the guilt.?
That nagging voice that says, “You’re supposed to care. You’re supposed to be present. But you’re just… not.”
Maybe you can relate.?
Maybe you’re a mother who has to be both mom and dad.??
Or a daughter caring for a parent on top of everything else.
You love them deeply, but you just feel…done.
Sometimes, you don’t want to talk to anyone.
You sit in your car or in the garage for a while, just to have a moment of silence before you walk through the door.
When you get home, your kids want your attention.?
They want to talk to you, tell you about their day, hug you.
But sometimes, all you want is peace.?
Silence.?
A few minutes when nobody needs anything from you.
You just want to be.
Have you ever been there?
You love your family. You love your work.?
But there’s only so much a person can give.??
It feels like the more you give, the more it takes.?
The more you lose yourself.
You start feeling like you’re running on autopilot.?
Going through the motions. Not fully present, not fully engaged. Just trying to make it through the day.
This is what burnout does.
It leaves you feeling cold-hearted, distant, and unrecognizable — even to yourself.
You’re not alone in this.??
So many high-performing women feel the same way. It’s as if all the giving, all the caring, and all the responsibility have emptied you out, leaving nothing for you.
But it doesn’t have to stay this way.
Imagine coming home and feeling energized, not drained.?
Imagine reconnecting with your kids, not feeling like they’re just another demand on your time.?
Imagine being there for your loved ones without feeling like you’re giving up pieces of yourself.
Imagine feeling whole again.
I know this path because I help women just like you every day.?
Women who are exhausted, overwhelmed, and struggling with the weight of their responsibilities.?
Through my one-on-one coaching, we build a path out of burnout and into balance.
Together, we’ll work on reclaiming your time, setting boundaries, and reconnecting with your purpose — without the guilt.?
You’ll learn how to take care of others while taking care of yourself.
You don’t have to keep pushing through. You don’t have to stay on empty.
I helped women like Dr. Janice move from burnout to thriving.
Let’s work together to change this.
You don’t have to disappear.??
You don’t have to lose yourself to make everyone else happy.
You just need a plan.
If any of this resonates, and you’re ready to find a better way, here’s a link to schedule a complimentary call.
Either way, you’ve got this.
Or, if now isn’t the time, that’s okay too. Either way, I’d love to know:
What’s one big challenge you’re facing right now?

2 周Tamara, It’s interesting to consider how burnout manifests differently across generations, too. For #GenX, there’s often the ingrained mentality of 'pushing through'—we were raised in a time that valued resilience and sacrifice for family and work. #GenZ, meanwhile, is reshaping the conversation, often prioritizing mental health and self-care more openly. They’re teaching all of us that boundaries and balance don’t signal weakness but self-awareness. The reality is, everyone’s facing pressure from somewhere—just in different ways. Your approach offers that rare chance for #women, across generations, to reclaim peace and purpose.
