When you join as a Team Leader !

Happy Sunday, and welcome to another edition of the newsletter. . .



The Problems Anil Saw: Anil identified several key issues:        

  • Poor Communication: Team members weren’t talking openly.
  • No Trust: There was a lack of trust among the team.
  • Reluctance to Speak Up: People were hesitant to share their thoughts.
  • Lack of Help: Team members weren’t willing to assist each other.
  • Negative Atmosphere: The work environment was negative and unproductive.

What Anil Did to Make Things Better:        

  1. Building Trust: Anil knew that trust was the foundation of any good team. He started regular one on one , listened carefully to everyone’s opinions, gave constructive feedback, and stressed the importance of working together.
  2. Active Listening: He made sure everyone felt heard, which helped build trust and open communication.
  3. Showing Empathy: Anil encouraged the team to understand and respect each other’s feelings and viewpoints, which strengthened their relationships and teamwork.
  4. Giving Positive Feedback: He focused on giving feedback that encouraged growth rather than criticism, which motivated the team to take on new challenges without fear as they were right feedback for them to grow.
  5. Promoting Teamwork: Anil worked hard to bring the team together, which led to quicker problem-solving and more creative ideas.


The Outcome: After a few months, things began to change for the better:        

  • The team started to understand the value of empathy and teamwork.
  • Members began to respect each other’s strengths and differences.
  • Trust grew within the team, leading to a more supportive environment.
  • The team began to support each other during tough times.
  • A positive work culture developed, deadlines were met, and challenges were communicated openly.



In his old job, Anil didn’t fully realize how important soft skills and good leadership were because things just worked well. But when he moved to a new company and found those things missing, he saw how much they matter. He learned that it’s not just about being good at the technical stuff; it’s the trust, communication, and empathy that really make a team strong
