When you have money, you forget who you are

Why would you want to be forgotten? Its impossible for at least one person to not remember you. Being yourself leaves a lasting impression be it something silly you did or someone bullying you. They will remember and there will be pain Or happiness. Being forgotten will happen eventually if there is no amazing achievement that should be commemorated or family that will eventually say your great something another.
You may feel this way but are you sure that everyone else wants to forget you? My heart hurts when I read your question because I was there once. I wanted my only spot on this earth with my name to be my tombstone that would eventually be covered in weeds. I wanted everyone to forget the things I did and said because being here was so much more painful than anything else…. Eventually I realized that even if I were to disappear….someone….somewhere would know my name. I would be the classmate that someone regretted not speaking to or the girl that the one boy missed his opportunity to pursue.
Someone will always remember you until the pain has healed and time has moved past their memories To allow them to forget. You are worth the air you breathe so don't think for one second you deserve to be forgotten. Who you were is not necessarily who you need to be. People can and do change. For some, that is a natural part of their evolution. As we grow older, our perspectives can change and we become new people.
If you mean you do no like who you are now, then don’t look back at the person you were. Look forward to what kind of person you would like to be. Think about the things you don’t currently like about yourself. Examine how they came to be, and ways you can move away from them. Some of them you can change, and some of them you can not. But, don’t dwell in the negative. That will only continue to drag you down. Focus on the positive things that you have now, and fix the negative things that can be fixed or changed.
Do you remember by becoming present to the moment. We forget who we are because we seek the answer in the external. We live different roles. We are a family member, we are our profession, and we attach certain possessions and ways of doing things to our identity. Even worse, we identify with our thoughts, and think that is who we are. But to truly understand who we are, we only need to do one thing. We have to stop thinking and becoming aware of what is happening right now in the present moment.
By first watching your thoughts, creating distance through observation, you can misidentify from them. You tune into who you really are. You are the consciousness that is aware of your thoughts. The consciousness that witnesses your surroundings. This consciousness is clouded by the ego, which lurks us into identifying with our thoughts, regrets about the past and worries about the future. Only by tuning into the present moment, will you be able to let go of compulsive thinking and tune into awareness. This will give you a feeling of joy and peace. That is who you are. You just are. You are consciousness. It just is. You are it. Cheers!
