Movie Monday is a weekly newsletter featuring Trident video content. Always informative, sometimes funny, never boring.

When You Can't Stop Noticing Utility Markers

It's a phenomena people refer to as "signage sight" ... ok, no one calls it that, I just made that up right now but it does have a nice ring to it, so I'm going to run with it.

For those of us who work in the damage prevention and safety industry, you know exactly what I'm talking about: once you start to notice how prevalent safety signage and utility marking is in our everyday lives and environment, it suddenly becomes the main thing you notice.

"Signage Sight" is especially rampant when we're traveling or enjoying vacation; we subject our friends and family to unsolicited utility marking sightings along with safety insights they didn't ask for.

This week's video features Nick Temple demonstrating how utility signage is not only important, but that it's also a budding tourism industry!

Got any summer vacation plans coming up? Keep an eye out for these Trident products, you're almost guaranteed to see them.

7 Utility Markers You'll See on Your Next Vacation

TriView

The industry's best above ground marker post is easy to spot with its 360? visibility. If you find yourself accidentally veering off the road while driving and run the post over, it will rebound to its upright position.

RhinoDome

Our bullet style marker is a crowd favorite in the telecom industry and can easily be seen all across the US.

Marking Flags

Summertime means construction, and construction means marking! Multi-colored flags are deployed everywhere for a multitude of applications.

Hydrant Rings

While a little trickier to spot, these warning signs are no less vital to safety as they communicate important information to fire and rescue teams.

Pole Tags

If there was Utility Marker Bingo, pole tags would be the free space. These highly durable tags are on phone poles in every state, every county, and every city!

A-Tags

If you find yourself in a dense urban area, keep an eye out for these highly visible, yet low profile markers. Commonly embedded in crosswalks and asphalts to mark underground utilities.

Curb Markers

Another low profile marker commonly used in dense areas, these markers can be affixed to almost any surface (hint: they are often near storm drains telling people not to dump or drain water).

Lol. This is awesome. So true!

Love the return to Rhino’s fun, creative, entertaining videos that still include a great branding message. Nick is a star and whomever was in charge of wardrobe gets and Oscar. No doubt a Spencer Knott production.
