When wisdom is over, leave the room

When wisdom is over, leave the room

I believe that you can gain wisdom instantly and by experience, over time. The “instantly” is when you truly accept something like: “Thou shalt not steal.” You read/hear it, accept it, it becomes part of your thinking, and you benefit from the idea. (I am an Atheist, but I accept the Ten Commandments as pretty reasonable ideas.) The danger in instant acceptance of wisdom is that you might accept bad advice. Experience is a little trickier. You make a decision such as “I’m going to steal” and decide that you don’t like the outcome. You don’t necessarily have to be caught; you just decide that stealing isn’t a good idea. So, you decide on your own to let that be part of your thinking. OR without hearing the commandment, you decide on your own that you won’t steal, are satisfied with the results and it becomes part of your thinking.

The danger (of experience) is that you’ll choose “I’m going to steal,” like the results, and accept it as part of your thinking. And there are times when stealing would be wise. Not often, but occasionally. You asked about Time. Experience requires time. Is there a correlation between wisdom and time? Yes, but I wouldn’t expect two people to gain experience at the same rate. So, strict? No. Only positive. Wisdom, while is not strictly-bound in time, cannot be gained instantly; it is a product of experience and of thinking, things which take time, but not in a strict way - each one has their own pace of wisdom-obtaining.

Some become wiser faster than others. Others - slower than others, and there are even those that you may give them an annual period, and they still wouldn’t become any significantly wiser than they were before the time you gave them. A dog can hear a proverb, but that doesn’t mean he gained wisdom instantly. Wisdom is a capacity, not a commodity. Like strength, or any other capacity, wisdom takes time to acquire. There is a fairly direct correlation between wisdom and the process of acquiring wisdom, which takes time. The more time you spend engaged in that process, the wiser you will become.

So the ancient belief “wisdom comes with age” is generally true, though not strictly so. A younger person who has spent more time in the process of acquiring wisdom will be wiser than an older person who has whiled away their time. But in general, older persons become wiser persons because they have had more time to spend in the process of acquiring wisdom. It is all a matter of motivation and of effort. Wisdom is something you gain,.. by observing the reality, the need, the logic behind everything. By learning.

Wisdom is not blabbering what some think it's true logical or right. Wisdom is recognizing everything before... Recognizing the truth. Recognizing the misconception.. recognizing the true essence of someone's soul. Paying respect to what is and what will always be. . To think about what is and where it comes from.. wisdom is divine. Wisdom is great.. wisdom is the silence of your tongue in the hassle of your thoughts. Wisdom never speaks before the truth. The truth guides the wisdom..

Wisdom sometimes gets to be farted out of us.. then we think we are wise. I think time brings forth wisdom, it happens if you accept your good and bad, and make wise decisions based on that premise, yield to temptation, it's a chance to see you, tread lightly when life presents challenges, do not judge, listen to your words, it's a clue into what your trying to bring to consciousness, be aware! Same as one apple doesn't make a pie , so doesn't one wise word make a wise man.

Generally, there is a positive correlation between time and wisdom. Unfortunately, it assumes that we can learn from our mistakes. For some, wisdom can be acquired instantly but it does not stay long enough to be useful because some of us assume that we know better. Wisdom doesn't go anywhere without the truth. And the truth has to be recognized. Wisdom also need not be dragged over a lifetime. Having a great mentor, coach, parent, teacher, or role model makes wisdom more obtainable.

We all go through life by trial and error. But there are two kinds of trial and error methods. The first one is ideal, and that is that you are given a training with a specific objective, and then you use trial and error to see how best you can apply the “theory” you have “memorized.” The second type of trial and error is the one used by people who have all the vices such as envy, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, sloth and wrath.

One way of becoming wise in the shortest time is to know at least the key words in all the ten best self-improvement books and design a self-coaching system of thought that incorporate all these ideas - because it covers the most important aspects of life. To some extent, part of the role of wisdom is to help us meet the inevitable events such as disappointments, disease, and death, with a sense of serenity and optimism. Knowledge: That's a woman. Insight: She wants me. Wisdom: She wouldn't be good for me. Discipline: Walking away. Mastery: Staying away. End of the Story: Leave the room. Cheers!
