WHEN WE FAIL TO RELEASE EVERY BURDEN TO GOD IN PRAYER, WE FORFEIT OUR PEACE AND BEAR NEEDLESS PAIN!
The passage, ‘Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you’ (Psalm 55:22 AMPC), reminds us that, like the lady who after listening to a sermon about taking our worries to God in prayer, informed the preacher that rather than bother God with little things, she only takes the big ones to Him that, because everything we take to God is little, the Bible says we should cast all our burdens on the Lord and He will sustain us. In other words, anything that is big enough to be a source of anxiety should be turned into a prayer point. So let the knowledge that: 1) If God was One who is and did not care about us, we would have reason to worry; 2) When we fail to release our burdens to Him in prayer, we often forfeit our peace and bear needless pain; and 3) He cares for us affectionately and about us watchfully and it is as we give our worries to Him that we discover how big He really is; teach you, the moment you recognise that a worry is beginning to weigh you down, to release it to Him!FG. www.femigee.com
