"When we argue for our limitations, we get to keep them." -Evelyn Waugh
I recently met a person who viewed themselves as having no natural ability to get things done. This person was highly educated, loved knowledge and information, yet had not taken the next step to develop their skills in getting stuff done.
They became good at being an expert on barriers that held them back from achieving what they wanted.
When I say, "recently met a person", I mean I meet several people a day who share this common issue, which concerns me.
I wonder how many people believe they have no natural ability to achieve something when that is not true.
When and where do these people obtain this belief system?
I also wonder if these people would feel better about themselves if their self-talk was not so negative?
Do these people believe that it is nobler not to try because they will fail?

Or is there a least a part of them holding on to the belief, hoping someone will come and save them????I'm sure you can relate.????Maybe you have heard yourself say something similar to "I'm no good at ..."?"I'll never be able to ..."?"It's just not in my genes to do that." What would you have if you got rid of these limitations??How much further would you go in your life?
Can you do it?
I know the answer is yes. Here is why. I have learned that not much in the world is original or revolutionary thought is most likely paralleled in some other industry and is only obscured by the fact that you have not seen it yet.
Therefore my strategy is simple, find out who has done what I want to accomplish, observe how they do it (or engage them, you would be amazed how many people are willing to share their process) and copy what they do. This is the fastest way to getting you where you want to go. It will greatly reduce disbelief as if you witness it being done your brain can't lead you to believe it is impossible and poof, much of the doubt goes away.
Yes, it is that simple. Everything is possible with enough desire, time, effort, and a healthy dose of copying others.
What do you want to do? What have your experiences been, have you tried this method and found success? Feel free to comment.
