In October 2022, AFour set sail on a transformative journey that would catapult it on a steeper growth trajectory. After 15 years of relentless pursuit of growth and innovation, AFour made a bold decision that would shape its future: becoming a part of ACL Digital, an Alten company. But this wasn’t just a merger of two companies—it was the beginning of something extraordinary, a union where vision, values, and ambition amalgamated to create limitless potential.

From the very first conversation, it was clear that both the companies are like-minded and culturally similar. The chemistry between AFour and ACL Digital was palpable, each company bringing its unique strengths to the table.

With the merger ink barely dry, excitement and anticipation filled the air. The AFour team knew they were standing at the threshold of an era of tremendous synergy and cross-pollination, never seen before. ACL Digital offered AFour the platform to push boundaries and soar higher.

Two years later, we can clearly see our vision materializing. What was once a bold step forward has become a giant leap, unveiling opportunities that were previously only imagined. The merger helped us unlock new global markets, expand advanced capabilities, and break new ground in innovation.

The integration of AFour and ACL Digital has been seamless, with teams from both sides blending their talents and expertise into one cohesive force. The synergies that once existed on paper have become tangible, driving growth, creativity, and new opportunities. Together, we have been able to open more doors and experience a journey on a broader canvas. Our employees have seen new learning and growth opportunities.

Let me highlight a few instances—among many—that come to mind where we successfully engaged and secured partnerships with large clients by leveraging our collective strengths. One notable opportunity involved a large healthcare enterprise seeking a comprehensive overhaul of its legacy platform—an intricate, aging system in need of modernization. Our team mobilized specialized expertise in legacy product management to ensure a secure, seamless transition to a modern architecture, while another team contributed in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations and compliance requirements. By presenting an integrated solution that would not only revitalize the platform but also address the evolving demands of healthcare providers, we showcased our unique blend of technical and domain-specific strengths. This collaborative approach secured the partnership, setting the stage for a transformative impact on the client’s operations.

In another compelling example, we demonstrated the value of cohesive, cross-entity collaboration. When an opportunity arose to provide penetration testing services within the BFSI (Banking, financial services and insurance) sector, we saw both a challenge and a strategic opportunity to expand our presence. While AFour had yet to establish a deep BFSI foothold, we recognized that Alten had extensive domain expertise through existing BFSI partnerships. By aligning AFour’s cybersecurity strengths with Alten's trusted BFSI insights, we crafted a joint value proposition that addressed critical sector-specific security concerns. This collaboration allowed us to deliver a powerful pitch that met the client’s high standards, resulting in a successful engagement that underscored the strength of our combined expertise.

One final example stands out, as startups are a particular sweet spot for us. A healthcare startup approached us with ambitious plans to develop a user-centered, high-performance mobile solution. While the client valued our healthcare experience, they also sought UX transformation expertise, alongside comprehensive mobile and full-stack development capabilities. By leveraging ACL’s UX expertise and AFour’s strengths in mobile and full-stack technology, we crafted an end-to-end solution that seamlessly aligned with the startup’s vision for an engaging, intuitive digital experience.

But the road wasn’t without its challenges. The rapidly evolving market dynamics, shifting client needs, and global economic fluctuations tested the partnership. Yet, overcoming these hurdles has only strengthened the bond and made the success even more rewarding.

Today, AFour and ACL Digital are not only bigger—we are more agile, more innovative, and better equipped to navigate the complexities of a fast-paced digital landscape. The merger has proven that when two like-minded entities come together, the result is greater than the sum of their parts.
